Why are you an educator? I knew I wanted to be a music teacher in 3rd grade when my brother taught me how to play the trumpet. I am passionate about teaching students to love the language of music and about how to use those skills to open the doors to creativity in their daily lives.
What are STAR Academy’s best qualities? The support for the arts through programs such as “Music and the Brain” and school-wide focus on character education.
Life outside school: Outside of school you can find me at my husband’s jazz shows (he plays trumpet too) or escaping to nature either in a park, camping, or hiking.
