Why are you an educator? I’m in education because I love learning. I also love the spark when you have an “Aha!” moment. I love seeing kids and teachers get to that point. I think education is a very powerful thing and an agency for change.
What are STAR Academy’s best qualities? I think one of the best qualities are the relationships among students, teachers and families. I think the way we provide an education and the way we provide the knowledge students need to succeed are important qualities. And, we also focus on the social-emotional skills needed to be successful.
Life outside school: I like spinning and dancing (I used to be a dance teacher). I love spending time with my nephews. And, I love, love, love planning New York City adventures and day trips.
